Offered is this lovely and unusual compote or tall footed bowl marked Dresden with the backstamp of Richard Klemm in gold.The compote is pale lavender with painted flowers in pink, purple and blue with green foliage.The scalloped rim is reticulated and outlined in gold.The underside also is lavender with sky-blue hatch-mark designs outlined in gold. These designs appear on the outside rim of the bowl and on the scalloped base.Small clusters of painted flowers appear on the underside and on the stem.This is heavy-gauge dinnerware. It may be ironstone rather than porcelain.The compote measures 12.25 inches in diameter (31 cm) and stands 8.75 inches high (22.3 cm). It weighs almost 6 pounds.Very good used condition with no chips or cracks. Gold trim in very good condition.Domestic shipping is free.The item will be insured.Questions welcomed.
