This is an American Flyer /Plasticville dual track signal bridge This signal bridge has been assembled and CA adhesive used to keep. It is not one that you can take apart and break down. The unit has been wired with lights (green/red) in one direction and will come with a dpdt center off toggle switch to wire it. It has been repainted and sealed with black paint and acrylic sealant to preserve it. It works well and will make a nice lighted signal for you train layout. It is not perfect, you can see in the picture a small burn for the soldering iron on one of the girders behind the lights. But it is well done, clean and very useable. Because of how fragile these items are due to the small plastic parts, shipping is via Medium flat rate box only. This gives me lots of room to bubble wrap the signal to prevent damage. These are not “fresh attic finds, basement wonders, or estate sale” trains. These engines have been restored, tested and are made to work and operate as close to new as possible. These engines are not “untested” engines that you may or may not be able to use. If you are looking for a fixer upper, you’re at the wrong auction. If you are looking for a great looking engine at nowhere close to what a train or hobby shop would charge for one in this condition then you found your home here. Most of these engines have taken weeks to complete. Most have been freshly painted and the paint cured. These are not going to be an engine in which you are looking for the “patina” (a fancy name for dirt) My goal is to hope to bring back that Christmas morning excitement that you felt as a child when you got your first train set! Will accept your Vintage Train (working or not) as a trade in on any of my restored engines, rolling stock or accessories. Unless part of a group deal, I normally do not take/accept American Flyer 21160 or 21165's on their own, or Tyco engines and rolling stock, normally not worth the shipping costs (sorry!) but I will accept them as part of a group trade in). When I refurbish an engine it includes but is not limited to: completely disassembling the engine down to the gears. All electrical contacts cleaned or redone. All gears cleaned and degreased and then re-greased with temperature tolerate grease. All exposed metal parts are cleaned and high speed buff to remove the decades of dirt and oxidation buildup and to return the original luster of the metal. Any wiring looking in need of replacement is removed and replaced. Any broken or missing coupler replaced (with original style couplings) and when needed the hand rails replaced/repaired . If any paint or body work needed to be done on the train it will be listed what was done and noted.
