Selling my Dumas Miss Circus Circus This is a 1/8 scale unlimited competion hydroplane. This boat is about 1/2 way built. This boat is built straight and true on the included jig, with no warping! The pink floatation still needs to be installed on the left side of the boat, and the right rear wing pocket installed, then it's ready to have the top deck installed. This boat was built with West Systems marine epoxy only, including the sealing and water proofing of the inside hull. A fellow competition racer, who races this boat and kit gave me some advice on how too built the boat stronger, lighter, and faster, to be more competitive with the scale fiberglass hulls. Those modifications have been built into this boat, they are as follows. 1- 1/4" aircraft ply used on the transom, instead of the 2 piece laminated 1/8" cheap ply that comes with kit. 2- inside sponsons are 1/8" aircraft ply instead of the weak and heavy mahogany ply. 3- Cockpit sides are also 1/8" aircraft ply instead of the weak and heavy 1/8" mahogany ply. 4- Lightening holes cut into the outsides of frames, also makes boat lighter and prevents water from being trapped inside boat. 5- The use of West Systems marine epoxy for everything.
