Duncan Miller Three Face Cake Plate on Standard This is a wonderful Three Face cake plate on standard. Also known as the Three Graces; this pattern was originally produced in the 1880's by Duncan Miller Company. I don't know if this is and old piece, or an older reproduction, but the quality is extremely good as you can see by the photos. I bought this in the 1970's. The plate is about 7 1/4" high and the clear plate is 9 3/4" wide, the base is about 4 1/2" wide also. The frosting or etching is very silky to the touch. The details in the mold are very clear and crisp, and the quality of expression is great. It is my understanding that this pattern has been reproduced, even by Duncan Miller in the 1950's. If you are a three face collector, perhaps you can tell by the photos. The condition is excellent; the top plate is not scratched, and the glass is swirled on top. The frosted base has striations in the frosting, and also has the tiniest pin-point on one of the scallop edges (not very visible). T is a very low reserve on the piece, which is what I paid for it. I don't charge for handling or packaging; only USPS shipping/insurance costs. Insurance is required, but I will read more
