"Cut Log Beginning Collector's Set" of 3 Items and a Profile Listing. For the person who would like to begin collecting early American antique glassware. THIS IS THE STARTER SET FOR YOU! What I have up for auction is a Table Size Sugar Bowl , an Individual Size Sugar Bowl and an Individual Size Creamer in the Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) pattern of "Cut Log." And also, a Profile Listing of nearly all of the items which were made in this pattern with measurements and photographs of each of the items. The "Cut Log" pattern: This EAPG pattern was made ca. 1889, by the Bryce, Higbee Company of Pittsburgh, PA. The pattern is a.k.a. "Ethol" or "Cat's Eye" or "Block." It was made only in clear glass. It has never been reproduced, so this is a very good pattern to begin collecting with. It is known that t were as many as 60 different items made in this pattern. Of the many different patterns of glass made during the 1800's, this one was very popular because of it's beauty and fine quality. (Measurements shown are at the widest diameter and the highest point.) Table Size Sugar Bowl with Lid: (one only) The measurements of this Bowl are: (base is 5 1/8"h x 5 1/4"d) (Lid is 3 1/8"h x 5 1/2"d) (together they are 8"h).
