MID-1950's 8x10 Photo, TOPAZ LAKE LODGE, Hwy 395 A rare image, probably never offered before on ebay, this is a very sharp, 8" X 10" photo of a the Topaz Lake Lodge on Highway 395, north of Bishop in Mono County, California. The Sierra Nevada range can be seen across the horizon in the distance. From a recent collection of Eastern California photographs from the mid-1950's including the Bishop area, Hunting, Fishing and recreation in Inyo and Mono Counties, Fishing at Lake Crowley, Convict Lake, and Skiing activities in Mammoth in the mid-1950's, many others. It was taken by Bishop photographer Steven Lukacik, and bears his stamp on the reverse. This was undoubtedly used for publicity purposes by local newspapers and magazines and may exhibit some minor defects from handling, however, anything considered important or detracting will be mentioned. This image is in outstanding condition without flaws, and is of high quality exhibiting excellent tones and contrast. Sharpness of detail is superb.
