So, be sure to view our other items for sale from the same wonderful old collection! * This is a beautiful Early 19th Century Blue & White Pearlware Staffordshire Transferware Printed Plate in the Palladian Porch pattern . It measures 10" in diameter. It is in very good condition with only age appropriate wear. There are NO chips, NO cracks, NO repairs, NO restoration and NO re-glazing. T here is uniform crazing, slight toning and very minor, tiny, glaze flecks on the rim edge. The glaze retains a bright shine with minimal, faint, utensil marks and crazing also seen in the well area when angled towards a bright light source, which should go unmentioned, but is offered for accuracy. . The transfer printed Palladian Porch pattern is very crisply executed and shows beautiful depth and clarity. The Palladian Porch pattern is shown in Vol. 1 of The Dictionary of BLUE and WHITE PRINTED POTTERY 1780-1880 by Coysh and Henrywood on page 273 . As mentioned in the book, the maker is unknown. This plate comes from an old collection of wonderful early ceramics of which we will continue to list in the coming days.
