Presented here is a superb, primitive, folk art pull toy - one of the best to be found. It was hand crafted by someone who loved working with his hands and fashioned this marvelous toy for a very lucky child. It has everything going for it: great, original paint and wonderful choice of colors, large wheels for stability and scale, with vestiges of yellow paint, two beautifully painted horses with wonderful detail to catch the eye, and best of all, a mighty clackity clack when the toy is pulled. The horses even alternate rising and falling as the cart is pulled! The maker knew what he was doing with the few materials he had to work with. This toy was made long before industry started mass producing toys where each one looks the same as a million others. This is one-of-a-kind, and a fantastic addition to a collection of exquisite, primitive, hand-made toys of the 19th cenury.
