A very early Steam Pressure Gauge , very heavy cast gunmetalbody 6.75” diameter with 3 wall fixing lugs and with added brass bezel justunder 7” diameter, the silvered dial to 100 lbs signed ‘DAVIS LEEDS’ and numbered ’11 13’, steel counterbalanced hand. Very good condition, dial silvering with just a little surface verdigris easily removable, body patinated from years of storage, steel hanbd with some surface rust and glass missing. This is in my view a very early example of a pressure gauge for use on a stationary steam engine, boiler or steam railway locomotive.
