Circa: 1855. Up for sale from my personnel collection is a very early Forestville Clock & Mfg. Co. Burl Walnut Beehive with Alarm clock in very nice condition. It has been serviced and it runs well. This a very early model clock because the Movement is signed E.N. Welch and the label is Forestville Clock Co. We know in 1855 E.N.Welch purchased this company formely J.C.Brown, making this clock one of the first ones the New Welch company produced. T is also dates of 12/9/01, and oiled and cleaned in 2/8/08. What great history on this clock. The finish is original and uncleaned and it has not been Masqued to ruin the patina. T is some veneer missing on left side bottom piece very small and a repair made on the right side top but the front of clock is perfect. The Burl walnut is very nice and the lower glass is un touched as well. T is minor paint loss on glass but very small. I am sure these are the tablets used By J.C. Brown and left over for this Beehive clock. Both
