A wonderful, very early, HUGE New England ash splint market basket in blue paint. This is a real nice early one! It's large, with a great early surface. All hand pounded ash splint with a wonderfully carved notched hande. If you're looking for a great basket to top a cupboard, farmhouse table or just hanging from a beam-this early basket has it all! The conditon is also very, very nice with a few small breaks-only mentioned for complete accuracy as you can see by my many pictures. The blue paint has been newly added and aged by me. Many of you are already familiar with my work, and this piece is no exception! My work has been featured in several magazines and publications nationwide in addition to being named one of Early american Life Magazines "Top 200 Craftsmen" five years running.
