Antique Ott & Brewer Pitcherwith Beautiful Transferware Design This large pitcher is a wonderful example of early American Ironstone It is marked on the bottom "OTT & BREWER CO. TRENTON N. J."and was manufactured at the renowned Ott & Brewer Potteries, established in 1863 in Trenton, NJ. , and located in the historic Mill Hill District of Trenton. During the 1800s this company was pinnacle in introducing the first American made Ironstone into the United States. They also pioneered the first lines of American made Belleek into the US, many of which are now found only in museums. This early company has been historically credited with producing many of our nations most outstanding art porcelain. This Ironstone pitcher features a very interesting design with fine detail and a beautifully executed floral transfer design that is reflective of the period. It measures 11" tall x 10" wide (from end of handle). This pitcher has some crazing due to age, but otherwise it is in good condition - no chips or cracks. ~Thanks for viewing my auction. ~
