A handmade early primitive ash sifter . The sifter may have been used by a blacksmith to sift ash on his work hearth . The sifter is hand hammered and punched from one piece of rolled steel . The sifter is 13" long ,6" wide and has a rolled lip around the edges. A great primitive piece!!
