This auction is for one handmade, lampwork borosilicate GALAXY, NEBULA, METEOR marble made by a Pacific Northwest artist . This interesting marble is about 1 5/8 inches in diameter. The bold nebula features cool sparkling metallic chunks of space material floating above a swirling landscape of twisting layers of clear and sparkling colored glass. The backside features a vivid PURPLE TEAL dichroic flame image framed by two highly detailed twisted canes. Please note that this material is new to me and though the marbles are completely annealed and I have extensivly stress tested many early versions, t is a tiny chance that someday they may implode (not really, perhaps crack or check). Most likely, they will offer many, many years of gazing enjoyment and no drama (NONE YET!). You are part of the METEOR research team! Glass is a challenge to photograph and the colors in this piece can be futher explored by changing the lighting conditions and viewing angle.
