Approximately 22"square scarf to commemorate the love of Edward VIII and Mrs. Wallis Simpson. Around the edge or the rolled hem scarf are various portraits of Edward and Wallis, along with other lovers in the past - Romeo and Juliet, Dante and Beatrice, Napolean and Josephine, Antony and Cleopatra and Abelard and Heloise. The sheet music in the centre is by Ninon and Leo Mantin of "Moulin Rouge" fame called "Dedicated to a Glorious Romance Love-Life-Fate, and was written for Edward and Wallis, with words "Success is luck but fate is fate, A charming king has found is mate- he had of everything enough and abdicated just for love. His Royal reason is well known, he wanted her to wear a crwon, shis is hisn only heart's desire, Her love almost won a geat empir. He just believes in love, in nothing ut love, he never dreams or cares for ther lover affairs.
