A lovely quality example of Edwardian cut glass which would have graced the dressing table. What I cannot decide is whether it's a heavy and large perfume bottle - missing it's stopper - or a stable based decorative hat pin holder Opening at top is so smooth I cannot imagine a stopper ever rubbing against it Beautifully cut crystal with the hobnail diamonds and dramatic flashes cut into the eight sided deep base and circular shaped foot The hallmarked silver collar is impressed Made in England on one side and the assay marks on the other side are too worn to read - I think London Leopard's head and ? & ? maker - but date letter and lion very rubbed The yellow guilloche enamel has a sliver missing on the outer edge as shown in image 2 but the bottle still displays beautifully and the loss is not dramatic Measures 5.25" tall and foot is 2" in diameter (14 x 5cm) If interested from overseas please get in touch for a destination specific postal quotation
