Hello Chicago & Eastern Illinois (C&EI) and Electro-Motive (EMD) enthusiasts, collectors, and Lionel 3-rail, O-scale operators . . . Here's a neat accessory for your Lionel O-gauge, or American Flyer S-gauge layout… an illuminated billboard depicting a popular ad from 1949 …"Better Trains follow General Motors Locomotives" …shows a new EMD Electro-Motive E-unit powering the Chicago & Eastern Illinois "Whippoorwill". The inset shows travelers dining aboard the C&EI streamliner, which traveled daily between Chicago and Evansville, Indiana. The billboard comes fully wired with a non-blinking 18-volt bulb and reflector for full-width, back-lit illumination. You can power this from the accessory terminals of your transformer or a battery eliminator. This billboard looks great even without the illumination…on your layout, desk, or in the display cabinet alongside your favorite Lionel EMD diesel power or C&EI equipment. This item was custom-designed and manufactured for use with Lionel and similar O-gauge trains.
