Offered is a very elegant highly polished oval jar by Juanita Fragua of Jemez Pueblo. This pot comes out of a collection acquired in 1979. Juanita is the matriarch of Jemez pottery. This pot was made at the very height of her career. It is a unique pot as Juanita's melon ribs are only on one side of pot. This natural clay is very hard to polish and Juanita is a master. In pristine condition.Size - 4.5" x 3"
