The pillow featured in this listing was made in Northern Thailand using a technique that has been passed down for generations. You will find these pillows in homes, temples and restaurants throughout Thailand and around the world. They are designed after the cushions used in ancient Lanna in the place of conventional furniture. Buddhist monks use them as floor cushions during meditation. The cushions are made by stuffing cotton cylinders made out of handloomed cotton or a cotton blend with kapok fiber. The care of them is simple: 1) spot clean as needed and 2) if the fibers settle with time and use, take the cushion outside and beat back into shape with a stick!
