Etching by Elizabeth O'Neill Verner of St. Michael's Alley in Charleston, South Carolina. This 1926 etching shows an African-American woman walking down St. Michael's Alley. The alley runs between Meeting and Church streets. Pencil signed and titled by artist. Matte shows some yellowing and staining. Frame is 5 1/4" wide x 7" in height, and etching is 2" x 2 5/8".
