This is a sign for the ship “The Lady Emerald”. It says across the top from “Dublin to Liverpool”. The first paragraph starts with “A steam boat will leave the Pier Head on Saturday Morning. 15 November 1885 at 3’oclock...”. It also states that “All passengers are required to bring sufficient own drinking water and dried prunes for the duration to prevent outbreaks of Scurvy, Syphyllis and other contagious diseases”. A reflection on the conditions of ships back then. Across the bottom it states “Dublin Wexford-Cork-Dingle-Limerick”. Its a lovely sign and looks great up on the wall!! Has four holes for easy wall mounting. Measures 15.75 X 11.75 inches
