Vintage Graniteware Large Canister Old French graniteware canister enameled in a fanciful “Lustucru” checkerboard design . Rather large, it is just about 6 ¾" tall and 4 ¾" in diameter, and would have been the second largest canister in a series of six. This canister was most likely a 1920s-30s advertising premium given by the French food (pasta) manufacturer, Lustucru. Customers would collect coupons or stamps and exchange them for enameled canisters such as these, with the company’s tell-tale checkered pattern. This canister is in very good overall condition with one knock on the lid’s knob and minor wear around the edges. As photos show, the interior is clean .
