English Queen Victoria Coronation Medal by Halliday Presented is an English Queen Victoria coronation medal.The medal is gilt bronze.The front of the medal features a profile image of Queen Victoria and reads "Victoria Queen of Great Britain, Born May 24, 1819."The reverse of the medal features an image of the coronation of Queen Victoria and reads "Long Live The Queen, Coronation June 28, 1838." The image features an angel with a trumpet flying above the coronation and four people (representing Britannia, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) placing a crown upon Queen Victoria's head.Both the front of the medal and the reverse are stamped "Halliday F." for the maker or designer of the medal.This medal most likely dates to the coronation of Queen Victoria, 1838, and was probably made as a celebration of this event.T is some wear to the gold wash on the medal. T is some surface scratching to both sides.Diameter: 2 1/8 inches.
