Enoch Wood Blue Grapevine Border Staffordshire Covered Server Bedfords 1825 BFine antique Staffordshire blue transferware square covered server in the "Bedfords Essex" pattern by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846), from the large and popular (80+ patterns) Grapevine Border series. Printed mark "Bedfords Essex" mark. Circa 1825.The server is 9 1/2 inches square by 5 inches tall with the cover in place. The server weighs 2 lbs 14 oz (shipping weight 4 lbs).Condition: Very good; no chips or repairs, no crazing of the glaze, light utensil wear. The mark on the base is blurred. A couple of inclusions in the lid (original to manufacture), one small spot (about 1/4 inch) without glaze in the bowl, and stains on the underside, along with a fine line which does not go through.
