Up for sale is: Don - The Long Retreat By Esci, ref.2012, in 1/72 scale For sale is a battlefield diorama model by Esci, issued back in 1979 - another great find, and I must admit I very much regret parting with this excelent item! As usual with these 2000-series dioramas, it contains a vacform battlefield base and a couple of Esci tank models and figures. For this set, Esci has included following items: a Soviet KV-1 tank (ref.8037), a German Sd.Kfz half-track (ref.8015), and a German LKW. 3Ton. Truck (ref.8007) , a full set of Russian soldiers (Guards Unit, ref.8017), and a generic set of battlefield acessories. All these models are still sealed inside their original factory bags, and are complete with all parts accounted for; there are assembly instructions for all models and painting instructions for the russian figures. There is one generic leaflet with a short description and a black & white photo of the action along the Don that this set portrays. The box is perfect condition, with all corners perfectly solid - just one corner saw the glue loose it's properties and is now loose, but that is easily rectified.
