I am pleased to offer a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art: an original interior page from the DC Comics series IMPULSE, written by Todd Dezago (Tellos, Spider-Man) and pencilled by artist ETHAN VAN SCIVER (X-Men, Green Lantern: Rebirth, Flash: Iron Heights). This is the original, 11" x 17" DC-issued art board, pencilled by Van Sciver and inked by John Stokes. All captions and speech balloons are lettered directly on the page. This is Page #5 from Issue #63. It features multiple shots of future Flash Bart Allen and his schoolmates, as well as an excellent action shot of Impulse in costume. This is not only a beautiful piece of artwork, suitable for framing, but a fascinating insight into the comics creative process. A number of the dialogue balloons have been altered by affixing cut-out pieces of art board with the new text, and the non-reproducing blue layout pencil sketches are still visible under the inks. A close analysis of the page gets you right inside the brain of the creative and editorial teams.
