Extreme 1931 photo scrapbook Sanatorium TX & Paris TX. Offered is an original comprehensive , well organized photo scrapbook and autograph book prepared by Mary Irene Rackliff, of Paris Texas, on her 9 month stay at the Texas State Tuberculosis Sanatorium at Carlsbad, Texas - Sanatorium, Texas (“The San”). The story started on July 9, 1931 when Mary applied for admission to the “San” and arrived in September 1931. Mary worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company in Paris for 5 years and lived at 87 Graham street in Paris. Prior to leaving the “San” in the summer of 1932 she began construction of this scrapbook and autograph book “In Memory of My San Days”.
