This is an extremely high quality small (12 x 9 x 6.5 cms) wooden carved vase which I think is probably walnut. It is certainly a lighter wood and is, I believe, of a style likely to originate from Eastern Europe/Russia. (This is not your typical oriental/Dutch East Indies type the quality being vastly superior). The condition of this vase is excellent and although it clearly is a vintage piece it is impossible to be precise about its age so I have described it as "Age unknown". The exquisite carving is of a plant/tree with flowers and is almost Secessionist in style. The carving is to both sides and there is decorative carved edging on all faces. It is carved from a single block of highly figured quality hardwood. A beautiful, unusual and high quality item. PayPal preferred. Other payment options are possible by prior arrangement.
