F376:Chinese Scroll Painting of Plum Blossom-Wang Mian Wang Mian ( 1287 - 1359 ) Wang Mian was a painter and poet in Yuan Dynasty. He was good at drawing plum blossom, especially those blossomy flower. His special colouring technique in which water and powder colour were skilfully applied to enrich tonal gradation and textural feeling of leaves and flower petals. His paintings had a unique and virogous style. He's also proficient in seal engraving and was the first one who used Hua-ru stone as a seal stone. He always wrote the seal characters and carved the seal on his own. T is an artist's inscription on this painting and it was written by Zhang Zhao. T are 19 collection seals on it.
