I purchased this a number of years ago at an on-site auction in Keene, New Hampshire. It was at an ancient farmhouse and it was probably used by the inhabitants at one time. It is possible that it was blown at one of the early Keene glass factories. There were two of them and this was the best one. The color is truly fantastic! It stands just over 4 1/4" tall and is 7/8" square. The lip is a wafer thin, wavy, disc and the base is mostly consumed by a sharp, open pontil. The glass that makes up the body is wonderfully crude, full of ripples divots, and a few inclusions. The color is most evident in the thick base and the lip when viewed, edge-on. It is in perfect condition and would be a stellar addition to any collection. Thank you for looking! NOTE: I lost both of my legs in a work accident and now I am forced to rely on some unreliable young adults to go to the P.O. for me. I will do my best to expedite the shipping of your purchase but please bear with me as things are out of my control.
