This FARMERS ARMS transfer SUNDERLAND PITCHER is enhanced with PINK LUSTRE. This pictcher is from 1825-30. The transfer is brown-black on off white earthenware. It is enhanced with pink lustre and with pink lustre sprig like decorations. pic # 2 &3. The poem is on one side ( pic 4&5)and the picture of the farmer plowing etc is on the other side. The pitcher is ''as is" .The rim on the base has been filled (pic # 7). T is a crack in the edge of the spout(pic #2&3). But this is a wonderful display piece. T is a spot without glaze to the left of the man with a dog on a leash in lower right hand corner of the transfer of the scene. About 1/8" . IN THE MAKING. The pitcher is not common in any condition. It is 7" tall to top of the handle. And 8" from spout to the outside of the handle. It is about 5 1/2" wide at it widest part. Found at an Auction in Gray Maine many years ago. This has been in my collection all these years.
