In separate auctions I have listed four (4) sizes of this popular skillet variety, and a Favorite Dutch oven, and This auction is for an exceptionally hard-to-find FAVORITE (Piqua Ware) #7 cast iron Dutch Oven, with matching Lid and Trivet, produced sometime before 1934, in ESPECIALLY GOOD overall condition. The Favorite Stove and Range Company, established in Piqua, Ohio in 1889, had produced quality-made cast iron hollow ware as early as the 1890's, but changed their focus after 1916 away from stoves and ranges, to expand their manufacturing of cast iron hollow ware to include kettles, griddles, skillets and gem pans, but ceased operations in 1934 due to the economic reversals brought on by the Great Depression.
