NO RESERVE!!This is a Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Relic Stratocaster, from 2005. It has a light-weight two-piece Alder body, a soft-V '56 profile maple neck with vintage-size frets, a two-tone sunburst 'thinskin' lacquer finish, and Custom Shop pickups - all skilfully aged to look and feel like a genuine 50-year old vintage Strat. It is in very good condition - for a relic!! Obviously this was a guitar that came beaten-up from the factory, so it's hard to know how to describe it's condition - but it has been very well looked-after, there are no problems or issues to report, the frets are in very good condition with no visible wear, and it has all the parts (back plate, tremolo arm and cover, etc.), 'case candy' and certificate included. This is a really lovely guitar - even Custom Shop Fenders can be a bit variable, it's in the nature of wood as a construction material; you never know quite how it will turn out! But this is an incredibly resonant and lively instrument, with a beautiful, balanced tone, that is warm and defined, with plenty of sizzle where you want it, but no harsh frequency spikes or ice-pick treble. The pickups are very clear, but smooth sounding, with lots of 'chirp', 'quack', and all the harmonic complexity you could want.
