Fenton 1970 Mother's Day Commemorative Plate You are bidding on a beautiful Fenton 1971 Mother's Day Carnival Glass Plate It measures 7 3/4" in diameter. The back reads: MADONNA WITH A SLEEPING CHILD" IS THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF REPRODUCTIONS OF WORLD FAMOUS MADONNAS WITH WHICH THE FENTON ART GLASS COMPANY COMMEMORATES MOTHER'S DAY. THE ORIGINAL GLAZED TERRA COTTA RELIEF FROM WHICH THIS PLATE WAS DESIGNED HAS BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO MICHELOZZO, A 15TH CENTURY ARTIST OF THE FLORENTINE SCHOOL. This plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or nicks. I wish I could get a better picture, as it is a beautiful plate. My camera just won't do it.
