This gorgeous Fenton/Charleton hand painted basket is from my private collection. I hate parting with this beautiful piece but I am downsizing my collection and some of my larger pieces have to go. This beauty stands approx. 10" tall to the top of the handle and is approx. 11" wide at the widest point. The outside of the basket is creamy white milk glass with gold leaf decoration just below the handles on either side. The interior of the basket is beautiful peach crest decorated with Charleton pink roses, green foliage, gold highlights, and white dots. The paint is completly intact with no signs of wear or fading. The condition of this basket is magnificent---a term you will rarely see me use. T are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. The only flaw I see is on one side of the handle w it was applied to the basket t is some roughness---more than likely from the tool the glass maker used when applying the handle. I estimate that the gold on this piece is 99% intact with no signs of wear or rub. Even the gold around the ruffled silvercrest edge is intact and even all around.
