Welcome to my auction! I bought part of a large Contemporary Carnival Glass collection from the East Coast. Please check my other listings for items you might like! This auction is for a Black Amethyst Carnival Glass Water Set. This was originally Fenton's "Lincoln Inn" pattern, made in the Depression Era. This Set was made in the 1980's and is stamped Fenton 8. What makes this Set Ultra Rare is that this Set was handpainted by famous artist Louise Piper and dated August 5, 1981. The Pitcher is 7 1/4" tall and each Tumbler is 4 1/2" tall. The handpainting features yellow Butterflies and White Flowers. Excellent detail and it still looks pristine. The black amethyst base is so dark you can barely see through it when held to a bright light. The handwriting on the bottom has faded a small amount on a couple of pieces. The Pitcher has a little nick in the ribs, right below the handpainting on the left side - very tiny. Otherwise, this Set is in excellent condition - No other chips, cracks or repairs. 's your chance to own a Rare piece of Fenton History! Check out my other items ! Payment is expected within 10 days, or item will be re-listed.
