Stunning Fenton Peacock at Urn Carnival Glass Plate in Electric Oranges, Greens, Golds, Purples in VGUC !I found this at my late and uncle's home with several Northwood items and I thought this was a Northwood Plate, but, a kind ebayer informed me that because of the bearded berries, this is a Fenton plate, not Northwood. I have a few other miscellaneous carnival glass pieces which remain; and I will be listing them in the next week.This plate has wonderful electric coloring. I see so many colors; but, I woud have to say that orange,amethyst, green and gold are the primary colors.The riser on the bottom looks to be a lovely shade of blue. The back of the plate looks, at least to me, to be silvered blues and purples. But, I am not a collector of carnival glass; so, I'm just stating what I see. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS; PLEASE ASK !!!!!!!!! The sawtooth edges have cracks; I have shown a picture of one area where there is no "saw tooth" but, it is most definitely NOT broken ! I see a some very, very small scratches; some pinpoint air bubbles which aren't broken through; and, a few which have popped front and back. There is 1 nick/flea bite as shown in the last photo. If you go to the top middle of the plate above the urn and count over 3-4 saw teeth, there is a 1mm nick/flea bite. It was difficult to see; I had to run a piece of satin around the edge a few times until I saw a teeny snag and then I carefully felt around the edges. You can also see one of the pinpoint scratches which is approx. 20mm below the nick. To my eye, there are no dramatic or major problems. If I had room, I would have kept all 40+ of these plates and bowls and I would've definitely displayed this plate in my hutch; but, we are downsizing and I did keep a few of my aunt's pottery pieces which I do collect....just couldn't help myself ! To my eye, this looks beautiful ! But, if you are a Northwood collector and have specific "want to know" about this item, please contact me.
