This is a fine tile which, during our research we have been informed is of Chinese origin and dates 19th century. Superb hand painted decoration of the four figures. The crouched male is having text drawn onto his back. Wonderful colouring with the detailed background of the inner part of a house. Signed to the right by the wall. Mounted into a large wooden frame with an overall size of about 18.25 x 14inches. Tile size 14 x 10inches. Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is without blemish. Besides being a very collectable Chinese tile of an outstanding quality, would also look fabulous displayed.
