This is a superb C.19th Victorian spelter bronze cherub figurines playing musical instruments. Both figures are mounted on the original wood base My bronze figurines come from a variety of sources including part clearance collections, quality antique fairs and small private sales which uncover pieces from the 18th,19th, 20th centuries and later periods, and include a variety of bronzes such as animalier, Art Nouveau, Art Deco. This is a fine pair of spelter figurines of cherubs which are superbly portrayed. One cherub is playing the triangle and the other a flute. The attention to detail on these figurines is beautiful Facial detail particularly lovely. Some age wear in places to the spelter figures and one needs tightening on base but nothing of significance and the condition of both is excellent and age commensurate. Each m easures some 11 height including base. This is a very collectable pair of Victorian spelter cherubs playing musical instruments which will make a fine decorative display.
