First Edition Harriet Beecher Stowe Book Description Welcome to my auction! Up for bids today is a first edition Harriet Beecher Stowe book. This book, titled Woman in Sacred History , is dated 1874. Beecher Stowe is famous for Uncle Tom's Cabin which helped spark the Civil War. What a unique person she must have been--a woman of color writer--years ahead of her time! She writes about prominent women depicted in the Bible in Woman in Sacred History . This wonderful volume measures 10.5" x 7" and is beautifully illustrated. The pages aren't numbered, but I estimate t to be approximately 300 pages. T is some fading on the bottom portion of the cover and spine--please see my photos. T are some typical signs of age--the pages have darkened somewhat, and t is a dent on the back cover, but considering its age it is in very good condition with no loose pages and the binding is very secure. The fact that it is an antique first edition book by a famous woman writer about women makes this book very desirable! Don't miss this chance to add this rare book to you library! Thanks for viewing my auction--bid with confidence and have fun!! :)
