Five Pound Bag of Foreign Coins (Lot A-123) These are what many of these coin lots come from These coins are not, like many others claim, from long-lost "estates" or "found in my grandfather's attic." Most are just coins from an accumulation from bags sold off by the Bundesbank and bought from sources who supposedly bought them direct. Funny, each seller's original bags if still in the "original Bundesbank" burlap bags had different types of plastic ties on them! Some of the "Bundesbank bags" I bought came in non-Bundesbank burlap bags and several even in plastic bags. These all came from dealers on eBay who say they were "original." I guarantee t are no gold or silver coins, just a good accumulation of 20th century base metal coins (I don't "salt" them with a few low-fineness silver coins to be able to say "might include silver coins"). I am not going to insult your intelligence like some seller-dealers do saying the lots are unsearched but I tried to remove all tokens, Canadian pennies, culls, etc. The photo shows the actual coins you are buying, they are not stock photos showing "sample of what you will receive" w the photo shows lots of cupronickel as well as copper coins but the lots are not that nice (feedback to one seller using this approach "great service, but not like the picture!!! (most coins were cheap pennies)." Others advertise and sell the same lots on eBay described as "... estate sale ... belonged to an English gentleman." Funny thing, their source pictures are the exact same bags that I started with. I bought several of the 10 kilogram bags from third parties that were assembled by Bundesbank (the German bank) after the introduction of the Euro. I also bought other lots from various sources that were not attributed to the Bundesbank source. I was able to add several hundred different foreign coins to my collection from the last 50 years. I am selling the others off in lots on five pounds (I kept only one of each coin that I needed as new or upgraded, any duplicates are still in these lots). These lots are not sorted, they are simply randomly scooped out of the thousands of coins that remain. The picture you see is as I dumped them into the 5 lb. bag listed (I don't put larger or better coins on the top of the pile). Condition varies from good to BU with most in the very fine to extra fine range. I have have tried to remove all U.S. and Canadian (but I see a few Canadian as I photographed some of the lots) and most cull coins and most tokens that were included. All that remains are coins of the realm in aluminum, copper, cupronickel, nickel, bronze, brass, zinc and bi-metal! Most of these coins are European but t are coins from all continents save the Antarctic in the bags with most dates from the 1960s to the mid-1990s with some as early as the 1900s and the late 1800s. Bulk coins like these usually sell for $6 or $7 and up per pound. These are the actual coins you will receive in this lot identified as Lot A-123 I am opening these lots at 99 cents and only charging the actual postage cost (for U.S. is $4.95 for the new Small Flat Rate Priority box which will hold one bag or two). I decided to offer these in 5 pound lots due to the postage charges (the minimum USPS charge for even a one pound lot by Parcel Post is $4.90). If you want to purchase more that one lot, I can use one of the larger Flat Rate boxes that can hold about 8 of these bags. Postage on this larger box is $10.95 to any US address. I do occasionally miss culls or Canadian coins so I always have added an additional 2½ oz. or so of extra coins to each bag to cover any of these that do slip through. Payment must be made in US dollars. Shipping charge is exactly what USPS charges and excludes insurance though it does include Delivery Confirmation (which is worthless as a Continental).
