For sale is a 1/128 scale model of HMS Repulse. It measures 1,880mm stem to stern and 240mm in the beam (74" x 9 ½") . Yes, it is very big!The hull was made by Fleetscale in 2000, but has languished untouched in my garage for a number of years now. It is a model that will require quite considerable expertise and knowledge to complete and so is not for the fainthearted.There is no deck or superstructure included in this sale. This is not like an 'Airfix' kit, what you get is the hull (which has been partially fitted out) and an assortment of fittings and plans, including: Wooden decking strips Radestock 4 x propellers and shafts Scale aluminium rudder There are also a number of resin and brass fittings including: Funnels Main & secondary guns and anti-aircraft batteries Seaplane Etched stanchions, ladders and other assorted items In addition, there are two speed controllers, a Robbe receiver and a servo for the rudder. These too have been stored in my garage (which is a dry environment) for a large number of years, so I cannot guarantee that they are working but I have no reason to believe that they are not.Finally, there are a number of plans, including the original model plans from Fleetscale, and copies of naval plans including deck layout detail and a rigging guide from the original ship.Due to the size and weight of this model read more
