Here on offer is a very nice Flint echinoid. The echinoid is a fairly large example of Micraster coranguinem, the size is approx. 55mm by 50mm.This Micraster exhibits very clear detail of its features, showing fine detail of the five ambulacra, and even showing the goniopores in the centre of the ambulacra, which is quite uncommon. This is one of the finest flint Micrasters I have ever found, its one I,m thinning from my collection.Very nice and unusual colourings on this specimen, with the typical black flint cast, alongside tortoise shell colours between the ambulacra. From the Cretaceous upper chalk, circa 85 m.y.o.
