Original Florida Highwaymen inspired painting on Masonite board. The Bardin School, 12 x 16. The Bardin School was named after Hazard Bardin (1856-1934). He was the first resident of Bardin and operated a turpentine distillery business at the interception of Bardin Road and the creek. This painting is one of the two buildings used to teach the students. The school closed in 1961.All of my paintings are my original compositions, but are inspired by the art of the various different artists known as "The Highwaymen." Instead of oils, I use professional grade, heavy body. non-toxic Golden acrylic paint with a protective sealer applied as the final coating to give the painting added depth and protection.Paintings are packaged carefully and securely for safe arrival at your home or business. Because I've gotten this question before, I'll address it here...my paintings are not packed in tubes for shipping. They are securely padded and wrapped in heavy packaging materials and ready for framing unless specifically listed with a frame.Painting size: 12 x 16
