A folding fruit knife, with sterling silver blade. Handle is mother of pearl, with pretty pattern of flowers. Rear has a plainer pattern. Blade is hallmarked for Sheffield, 1913 . Makers mark is for Philip Ashberry and Sons, Sheffield. These little knives were popular for peeling apples and other fruit when outdoors. Knife measures 13cm long (5 inches) when fully open, and 7.5cm (3 inches) long when closed. Excellent condition - just a two little rust marks in the shell on the rear.
