The great masterpiece of 20th Century literature in an edition worthy of the book. There are noinscriptions or bookplates. The book is pristine and is housed in a fine, black buckram solander box spine titled in gold, with Joyce's signature in gilt on the front. The book has turquoise goatskin leather binding blocked in black and gold, with an embossed design by Jeff Clements. 735 pp. This edition of Ulysses was published by the Folio Society on 16 June 2004 to mark the centenary of Bloomsday, the day on which the action of the book is set. The edition is limited to 1760 of which this is number 524. It is illustrated with Mimo Paladino's etchings. The Folio Society published a previous edition of ULYSSES in 1998. This was NOT a limited edition but Paladino's etchings were originally created for that earlier edition. This masterpiece is in as new condition and is magnificent.
