This late 19th or early 20th century oil painting of a moose standing in the wild is in original untouched condition and ready to be hanged. It has a most wonderful folk art quality to it and the look of the moose is just plain fun. The colors in the background show a sunset on an early fall day with all the leaves in the hills and the plants in the meadow changing to a wide variety of color. The painting is on artist board and measures about 22 x 15 1/2 inches framed. The frame is original to the painting and as is shown in the photos it is grain painted around the inner border. The lower left corner has a break in the gold trim of the frame. A very nice painting and a fine addition to any folk art or Adirondack collection and ready to go as is.
