Up for auction is my grandmother's Fostoria "American" depression glass dish set with many extras. T are 81 pieces in all, and they are all in great condition except w noted below after the individual descriptions of the pieces: 9 -- salad plates 7 1/2" 8 -- bread plates 6" 7 -- teacups 8 -- saucers 1 -- sugar and creamer set (the glass on the creamer is cloudy) 2 -- salt and pepper shaker sets, 4 shakers (lids on the salt shakers have corrosion) 1 -- oblong dish 10" 1 -- small oblong dish 5 1/2" 1 -- candy dish 5 1/4" 1 -- candy divided dish 5 1/4" 1 -- dish with center hole 10 1/2" (a metal handle was probably originally in this center hole) 1 -- small nappy bowl with handle 5" 1 - three-footed small dish 7" (see separate picture) 1 -- small water pitcher 5" high (see separate picture) 1 -- small serving bowl with handles 8 1/2" (see separate picture) 3 -- candle holders 4 1/2" base (one with chip on the base) 8 -- sherbet glasses 3 1/2" high 8 -- after dinner/ liquor glasses 4 1/2" high 8 -- small water glasses 4 3/4" high 8 -- parfait glasses 5 1/2" high This is great opportunity to obtain a large set of this desirable depression glass pattern at a very reasonable price.
