These were letters were recently puchased by me at a local estates sale. This grouping consists of four typed letters, all signed in hand by Eleanor Roosevelt. The first letter is dated 1938 and the heading is Mrs F. D. Roosevelt Eastport, Maine July 26, 1938. She addresses this letter and the three others to Ruth George, a personal friend who lives in Thomaston, Maine This letter is in fine condition, as all are. This one does not come with an envelope. The next three letters, all with White House envelopes and on White House stationery, start in November 15, 1938 again writing to her friend Ruth about some personal family details. The next is Oct. 18, 1940. And is a personal letter to her friend Ruth as well. And the last is dated July 24, 1941 and it is also to her dear friend Ruth George in Thomaston, Maine. All the letter and envelopes are in fine cond. Shipping in the states would be 3.00 plus ins.
