Offered is this lovely service for FOUR of fine porcelain china made by Theodore Haviland in Limoges , France , about 1910. Each place setting consists of a dinner plate, salad plate, bread plate, cup, saucer, and fruit or sauce bowl, 24 pieces in all. The pattern features sprays of pink roses with green foliage and gray shadow leaves. The lady who owned this set used them with a Haviland pattern called Marie, which coordinates very well with these pieces. (See photo which shows both patterns.) The dinner plates measures 9.75 inches in diameter (24.8 cm). The salad plates measures 7.5 inches (19 cm), the bread plate measures 6.25 inches (16 cm), the saucer measures 6.25 inches (16 cm), the cup stands 2.25 inches high (5.7 cm) and measures 4 inches in diameter (10.1 cm), the fruit bowl measures 5 inches in diameter (12.7 cm). This is sometimes called a "honeymoon" set, but it would work well for a family that is downsizing or traveling in a motor home. The blank is smooth. The cup handles have gold trim. The china is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. Only slightest evidence of service use. In auctions, we will be listing more pieces of this lovely china, all purchased from the same estate. Payment by check, money order or PayPal, for credit cards and electronic checks. U.S. buyers to pay $22 for shipping, insurance included. read more
